Your hair feels smooth for two days. Then it goes dull.

Conditioner and leave-in lay silicone on the hair. That's why it feels smooth — and why it weighs down as the layer builds up. It's also why it goes flat.

Hårskjold lays nothing on. The apple cider vinegar closes the hair's outer layer again after washing, so it reflects light better. That's where the shine comes from. Not from a film.

If you wash your hair with soap, this is your new conditioner. Soap opens the hair. Something has to close it again and neutralise the lime from the water.

Different cultures have used vinegar, lemon juice or soured milk in hair for generations. Neither soap nor lime in the water is new.

No silicone. No fragrance. No oil.

Spray into towel-dried hair after washing. Leave it in. Works in dry hair between washes too.

Ingredients (INCI)

Aqua (distilled water), Malus Domestica Fruit Vinegar (organic apple cider vinegar), Propanediol (plant-based, holds moisture), Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), Sodium PCA (humectant — your hair makes it itself), Benzyl Alcohol (preserves the bottle), Dehydroacetic Acid (preserves the bottle), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder (aloe vera — adds slip, so the hair is easier to comb)

The names are in Latin because the law requires it. The two preservatives together are called Cosgard — naturally derived and approved for organic cosmetics. A product with this much water in it cannot do without.

What it does

Soap is alkaline — pH 9-10. That opens the cuticle on the hair shaft. Fine for cleaning. But if the cuticle stays open, the hair feels dull, rough and hard to comb.

Hårskjold brings the pH back to the hair's natural level — around 4-5. The cuticle closes. The hair gets shine and slip. This isn't new science. It's vinegar in a formulation that also adds moisture.

Apple cider vinegar dissolves lime residue from hard water. Panthenol penetrates the hair shaft and strengthens it from within. Sodium PCA is part of the skin's own moisture factor — NMF. Aloe vera adds a little extra slip.
Who it's for

Anyone who washes their hair with soap. The vinegar rinse isn't optional — it's the second half of the process. Hårskjold is the finished formulation, so you don't have to mix vinegar and water in the shower. But you're welcome to.

Also for you if you use a shampoo bar and find your hair dry or dull. pH correction helps whatever you wash with — as long as it's alkaline.

Particularly for grey hair: grey hair has a more porous cuticle and produces less oil. A vinegar rinse matters even more here. Use it every time.
How to use it

Use it every time you wash with soap. It isn't an extra step — it's the second half of the wash.

Spray bottle — spray into your palm or straight into wet hair after washing with soap.

As a rinse — spray into the hair, spread with your fingers, leave for half a minute. Rinse lightly or leave it.

As a leave-in — spray into the hair after washing. Don't rinse. Works as daily pH correction and a moisture boost between washes. Just spray into dry hair.
Storage

Store at room temperature. Away from direct sunlight. Shelf life approx. 12 months.

Den virker super godt og blødgør håret. Grunden til at jeg 'kun' giver 4 stjerner er at jeg ikke synes der er en kæmpe forskel på mit hår når jeg bruger denne eller bare ren æblecidereddike blandet med vand. Dog er den her super nem da den allerede er blandet og bare kan sprøjtes direkte i håret.

Var lidt skeptisk over for ACV i håret, men det her har overbevist mig helt. Håret er blødere og har mere naturligt fald — og så er kløen jeg plejede at døje med næsten væk, og skællet er blevet markant mindre. Det havde jeg ikke forventet. Den lugter heller ikke når håret først er tørt

Jeg skiftede fra Kevin Murphy for et stykke tid siden og bruger nu olivensæben sammen med ACV leave-in. Håret er blevet så meget nemmere at rede Og jeg kan mærke tydelig forskellen. 😄

Plejede at bruge det dyre Olaplex, og nu køber jeg ikke andet end Hårskjold. Vanvittigt hvor lækkert håret er bagefter. Jeg vasker det ikke ud, og mit naturlige tørre grå hår er nu blødt og lækkert !!!
